The Old Eye Project
an exercise in visual and informational design
Project Overview
For my Visual Design II final, I developed a publishing brand targeting the table-top gaming market. The core goal of the project was to adapt the aesthetic of old-school DnD into a web setting, while also making improvements to the content’s usability, page layout, and visual hierarchy. You can view the final product at the link below.

Problems
Created a room template with a strong visual hierarchy, designed to be read at a glance at the game table.
Solutions
Style Guide / Design System
Implemented tools to help game masters at the table, such as a static mapping system to display room orientation, time tracking features, and easily available random encounters.
Wrote a short “example dungeon” equipped with terse, actionable language.
Mini-Dungeon Rooms
Create a style guide and design system that embodies the aesthetics of early DnD in both form and function.
Create a desktop prototype that equips table-top players (and game masters) with the tools and information to run a real session of old-school DnD.
